About your teacher:
Hi, my name is Karmal and I live in West Lothian. I am a fully qualified primary school teacher and have over 20 years of teaching experience in England and North America.
I am mum to a lively 5 year old who LOVES stories and this was my main reason for joining The Story Frog Phonics! I love being able to share stories with him in a meaningful way and watch him develop a real desire to learn to read as a result.
When he was younger, I enjoyed finding and making learning activities for him which were developmentally appropriate. This was during the lock-down period of co-vid and I felt a real need to ensure that he didn't miss out on anything.
Fast forward two years and I am now able to share all the knowledge I accumulated with other parents who come to class in a safe and supportive environment.
I welcome the chance to meet with you and your little one in class and my hope is that you will see how easy it is to support your little one in their literacy learning journey. I hope to see you and your little one soon!
