About the classes:

Tiddlers (10 months - 2+ years) - Nursery Rhymes

 & Play classes

We take your child through a world of nursery rhymes and songs. There is a strong emphasis on rhythm and rhyme as this helps children to develop early Literacy skills.

The activities in class are linked to baby development, sensory exploration, mark making and messy play.

Pre-school (3 - 5 years) - Stories & Early Phonics

Stories are a wonderful way to start the reading process. We help to teach your child letter sounds in a fun and enriching way and you can enjoy the connection that develops between you.

There are opportunities for messy play, creative arts, fine and gross motor skills development,  cutting skills and sensory play. The activities are based around the letter sound and story read in class.

About your Teacher:

Hello everyone! My name is Karmal and I am very excited to be bringing The Story Frog Phonics classes to West Lothian (currently East Calder, Livingston and surrounding areas).

I am a qualified primary school teacher with nearly 20 years of teaching experience in the UK and North America.  I love to create wonderful learning experiences for children through play and having fun. I feel that these are essential ingredients in a child’s development and foster a real desire to learn.

I have always had a huge passion for stories and am delighted that my 4 year old son shares the same passion for stories as I do. We regularly re-enact scenes from stories and create our own imaginary worlds. I quite often have to ‘think outside the box’ and use whatever I can find at home to make the latest story-book inspired scene!

Come along and meet other parents whilst

your child has fun and meets other ‘littles’.

In addition, you can also learn how to

support your child on their phonics journey.

I can’t wait to meet you and your child at

one of my classes!
