Our teachers have complete flexibility on how they deliver sessions and can adapt their sessions to reach the children in their own community contexts. We understand that some children are not ready to read even when they reach reception and there are many skills that children need to be ready to learn including confidence, social skills and emotional regulation.
Our aim is to make reading and stories a safe and familiar space for children so that when they start to read, use phonics and mark make it is not only familiar and safe but their passion. Our etho is simple, learn through play play play and more play!

February 2026 marks 6 years since I bought into The Story Frog Phonics franchise. At the time, I was on maternity leave with my 5-month-old daughter and 2-year-old son. I was searching for a way to leave my 2-day-a-week teaching job and create something more flexible around my family.
Just one month later, the world went into lockdown – meaning face-to-face classes stopped before they even started. But instead of giving up, I adapted. With two little ones in tow, I pre-recorded phonics sessions for parents to purchase online.
When restrictions lifted, I took The Story Frog Phonics into homeschooling groups, nurseries, and community classes. I taught at weekends to fit around my family and even hosted birthday parties. In my first year, I also delivered online parent workshops and staff training for nurseries.
